Step-by-Step Guide to Canada PR

1 Check Your Eligibility

Assess your profile against pathways like Express Entry (FSWP, FSTP, CEC) or Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP). You generally need 67/100 points to qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker Program.

2 Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)

Mandatory for qualifications obtained outside Canada. Recognized bodies include WES, ICAS, IQAS, etc.

OrganizationTimeCost (Approx)
WES4-8 Weeks$240 + courier
ICAS8-12 Weeks$200-$300
IQAS / CES12 Weeks$210 - $250
MCC (Doctors)14 Weeks$300-$500

3 English Language Proficiency

Proof of ability through IELTS (GT), PTE (Core), or CELPIP is required.

4 Create Express Entry Profile

Once ECA and IELTS are ready, enter the pool. Your profile is ranked via the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

5 Receive Invitation to Apply (ITA)

IRCC conducts regular draws. If your CRS meets the cutoff, you receive an ITA – your ticket to Permanent Residency.

6 Final Application Submission

You have 60 days to upload all documents (Funds, PCC, Medicals). Precision is key here to avoid rejection.
